About This Spot

Stepping into Coffee Fusion feels like discovering a well-kept secret nestled on Murfreesboro’s vibrant North Thompson Lane. The space hums with a gentle energy—a blend of aromatic coffee steam and the inviting warmth of freshly baked pastries mingling with subtle hints of Southeast Asian spices. It’s neither rushed nor solemn, but rather a cozy crossroads where conversations flow easily and moments pause just long enough to savor a good cup or a flavorful bite.

This local gem effortlessly balances the casual charm of a neighborhood café with the vibrant soul of a spot where diverse culinary traditions meet. The atmosphere carries a quiet friendliness, welcoming both the early morning coffee sipper and the midday wanderer looking for something more substantial. Behind the counter, the attentive, genuine hospitality feels intentional—with gestures that make you feel seen, like a welcome pause amid the day’s motion.

Food and drink here tell a story beyond their ingredients. The rich, dark Vietnamese coffee offers a comforting reminder of slower mornings, while the bubble tea’s refreshing playfulness invites a moment of lighthearted escape. The kitchen’s delicate dance between Vietnamese sandwiches, flavorful noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls reveals a dedication to authenticity without pretense. It’s a place where tastes spark curiosity—whether it’s the subtle sweetness of pandan-infused treats or the lively kick of freshly sliced chilies on the side.

What sets Coffee Fusion apart isn’t just a menu that nods to Laotian and Vietnamese heritage, but the way it integrates those influences into an everyday rhythm that feels both exploratory and familiar. There’s a sincere joy in lingering over an expertly brewed caramel macchiato or a bowl of warming broth, accompanied by the comforting crunch of house-made egg rolls. The space welcomes moments of retreat but also invites the simple pleasure of shared experiences, whether you come alone or with friends.

In a town with a rich tapestry of cultures, Coffee Fusion captures something personal and grounded—a place where the food feels like conversation, the drinks like a pause, and the atmosphere like an open door.

In 1976, the first Laotian refugee families came to Murfreesboro. Ever since then, thousands have settled in this town. Murfreesboro is known for some of the best Laotian food in middle Tennessee so whenever I'm in town I'm always on the hunt for some authentic Laotian food. I was working from across street and came for lunch. The server was super nice and accommodating, even allowing me to use her personal phone charger. Menu is on the wall and everything looked delicious. I had Laotian chicken noodle soup which was Devine considering the fact that I was under the weather. It hit the spot. I also had Banh mi combo which was crispy and delicious. Maybe not the best banh mi I have ever had in the Nashville area but close. I would definitely come back to try their other food items on the menu the next time I'm in town!

Tasty food, cozy atmosphere. Will be back to try more things! I got the chicken lo mein and the veggies in it were especially fresh.

What an interesting twist - espresso and pho. The spring rolls may be tops in Murfreesboro. More than excellent. The sauce - oh I have to tell you this, so I asked "Do you have spring Rolls?" CF: "Yes, we have spring rolls, egg rolls." Me: "What kind of sauce do you have?" CF: "We do not have the peanut sauce, the peanut butter type." Me: (he had me at 'no peanut sauce.') OK Coffee Fusion! I accept your challenge! They were great. What can I say - check the photo out! And service - just as great. I ran out of dipping sauce at no.3, didn't even have to ask. CF: "Do you want some more sauce for the last one?" Note to competitors. How it's done.... Oh, oh oh... I almost forgot. Guess what? Real stainless tableware. No plastic sporks! No Drunken Noodles - only rice. The menu is smaller than some places, but there's still plenty of variety. If you follow me, and to owners, I hate to give perfect scores because, well first people tend to skip perfect scores and we patrons, the least we can do is show enough respect to share something. So here's my share: the Pad Thai was excellent in flavour and noodles (I hate an under-done or soggy noodle). I ordered a spice level 3 (of 5) and couldn't tell it had any heat. Plus, the noodles were perfect but drown in thin fluid. Now that didn't stop me - Spring Rolls were prologue for the carnage about to happen. But the liquid was so thin and ample - even with my best slurp and splatter control techniques - I spotted my T-shirt. Very good, very tasty but I don't think I have spotted my clothes with Pad Thai. Do check out the video - watch it steam. Again, if you follow me you know it's a big deal to have hot food served hot and cold stuff served cold! 5 by 5 on that. Wonderful people, great experience. I recommend you try them.

What a hidden gem this is! Coffee shop with a Laotian menu. I had the khao piak sen and an order of egg rolls. Service was attentive and friendly, food was hot and fresh! If you like spicy, ask for some fresh chili peppers on the side. On my way out, I bought 2 premade pork/egg bao and an iced herbal tea. Such a great little spot- will be back!

Exceptional Associates!! it was so nice to meet them and have a nice conversation. They took their Time in preparing a Perfect, Yummy Caramel Macchiato! I also was tempted by their variety of sweets in the case. One looked very inviting with its light green color center and white fluff top sprinkled with shaved nuts. I asked what the green was. She told me it is from the Pandon Leaf Plant. I must say the cake square was a large portion size and was very light and not overly filling. The taste was also very good and not overwhelming strong. It tasted similar to a Vanilla/Coconut but not sweet. Just delicious. My dog even liked the taste;) While reading their menu they also offer full meals of homemade ingredients. I look forward to visiting another time and trying a meal. I definitely will get their Coffee too. Thanks to the Associates for making it very welcoming!

Coffee was delicious, they had great service, and it was affordable! I cant wait to come back and try more things. I work at the Salons by JC and had a little extra time this morning so I decided to walk over, and im so glad I did! Be sure to show support to your local small businesses! This one is great!

Fantastic place! Wife and I went to eat here and had the Pad Kee Mao chicken, Kao Mun Gai, and Lad Nah chicken. It all tasted so amazing. The noodles have an amazing consistency. I went back again the following day and ordered the Pad Thai chicken and Pad Sa Ew chicken with some sides (Shown in these pictures), once again it did not disappoint. The Pad Thai chicken had a sweeter taste to it, which in my opinion complimented the other spices in the dish, so it was very delicious. Would highly recommend this place to everyone. Not only were their food amazing, but the employees and owners were all exceptionally nice!
